Mr. Asif Lampwala heads the Litigation practice of Advani & Co., Mumbai and has successfully handled numerous high-value disputes in the Supreme Court of India and various High courts in India.

Mr. Lampwala has extensive experience in providing strategic advice to foreign businesses on Indian law and regulatory aspects from his time in London and Tokyo when he routinely undertook cross-border mandates.

Mr. Lampwala has been instructed in a breadth of Corporate & Commercial Litigation mandates. He has a special focus on media and entertainment as well as sports-related matters, and has appeared for the Board of Cricket Control in India and the Jockeys Association, amongst others.

Barrister Mr. Hiroo Advani

Mr. Advani completed his schooling from Cathedral & John Connon High School, Bombay and graduated with a Gold Medal from Bombay University in 1970. He obtained his master’s degree in law from the University of Cambridge, UK.

In 1987, he established Advani& Co., which has evolved as a leading name in both domestic and international arbitration. Mr. Advani has been a lead counsel in many international arbitrations under the LCIA, Swedish Arbitration Association, International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Singapore Association of Arbitration (SIAC) and Zurich Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Advani’s expertise as a lead counsel ranges in various sectors such as Construction and Infrastructure Projects, Energy/Natural Resources, Oil & Gas, Financial services, Fast- Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Metro/Rail Contracts, Power Plants including Solar and Wind Power. Mr. Advani has successfully represented his clients in arbitrations where the Award has been in excess of USD 200 million. Under Mr. Advani’s aegis the firm has built a significant practice in successfully enforcing International Awards & Foreign Decrees in the various High Court and Supreme Court of India.

Mr. Advani is also an established arbitrator. He has extensive experience as president, sole arbitrator and party appointed arbitrator in international and domestic arbitration. He has been on the Panel of Arbitrators under different rules such as Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA) and London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA). In 2016, Mr. Advani was elected as the first President of the Indian Arbitration Forum (IAF) and he was a member of the Court of the Singapore Arbitration Centre (SIAC) till 2015. Mr. Advani is consistently invited by many domestic and international organizations, to speak on different aspects of arbitration and he continues to carry out a number of speaking engagements.

CS Tushar Shridharani

Mr. Tushar Shridharani is a Practicing Company Secretary (having qualified as a CS in 1984) and a Fellow member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India.

He is the founder of Tushar Shridharani Associates, a firm of practicing company secretaries.
